i don’t know how the weather will be is the beach even open? if it is is the water it really cold? can people get in the water about this date? planning on going this Friday thank you!

I am new to the DC area, and have heard that many of the beaches in this area are dirty. Can someone give me some advice of the nicest beach within a 3-5 hour drive?
