On the face of it, Venice Beach, California is a nothing but a three-mile long sandy beach. However, it is known to the world as the roller skating capital, as well as rich cultural history that includes a tradition of music, Beatnick poetry, and good times. Tourism is now alive and well in Venice Beach, California. It has an array of activities to offer. During the entire summer season and on the weekends, one can find every intersection of the city laced with a gamut of street entertainment artists like musicians, singers, jugglers, acrobats, mimes, comics, magicians, prophets, fortune tellers, and other assorted entertainers.
Tourists should not be enticed by visions of a balmy summer in this town. Vail receives an average of 300 days of sunshine a year with little-to-no humidity. The weather can change in a matter of hours, so it is a good idea to be prepared with extra layering when heading outdoors. Near the onset of summer, the weather can be very deceptive; temperatures at ground level can drop to freezing at night. During the summer, the average daytime temperature is an enjoyable 75 degrees, while the average evening temperature is a cool 45 degrees. The daytime highs in the hottest month, July, hit the low 70s, with lows still touching the high 30s.

It is also recommended to stay in beach hotels if you will be doing a lot of water activities like cruising and water sports. Aruba:
This place is for those that like a non-stop vacation with lots of restaurants, bars casinos. The beaches are gorgeous, the water is wonderful and it hardly ever rains. The scuba diving is awesome with great opportunities for photography. The fishing is pretty good too.

And the water color is the most vibrant translucent turquoise… I love it! Seems that many movie stars and rock stars like it too with several owning homes and vacationing here on some of the 8 secluded islands all with fantastic beaches. Turks & Caicos has long been a diver’s paradise with great deep-sea and bone fishing too! Taking the kids? Well, Beaches Resort consistently gets high marks as one of the world’s best family beach vacation spots.
Bahamas:
Technically not in the Caribbean, but with so many beautiful beaches I had to add it to the best beach vacation list… it’s close enough. Paradise Island is great fun especially swimming with the dolphins, which is an experience of a lifetime. The diving here is fantastic because of the calm waters and enjoying the nightlife is all kinds of fun. For a secluded romantic get-a-way try the pink sand beach on Harbor Island.
British Virgin Islands & U.S. Virgin Islands:
Both make great beach vacations, especially for island hopping. Having a chance to easily enjoy not 1, 2, but potentially 3 islands or more each with it’s own charm make for one of the best beach vacation spots. Trunk Bay on St. John is particularly gorgeous and popular with calm waters and an underwater snorkeling “trail.”
Cayman Islands:
A very entertaining destination with odd things like feeding iguanas grapes while dining at a restaurant. Definitely worth it for the pictures! Three islands in all, its another great place to island hop and enjoy waterfall climbing, extensive shark diving, and swimming with the stingrays and shopping, shopping, shopping.
Dominican Republic:
Here is a place you can go for a cheap beach vacation and still enjoy all the splendid beauty of a Caribbean island. Have a great time scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, deep sea fishing and hiking. Fabulous beaches too!
Anguilla:
A fun Caribbean beach vacation to tell your friends about. It’s the only area known in the Caribbean to have beautiful white sandy beaches deserted during peak season, which makes this a great place for couples to enjoy. Especially with activities that include windsurfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Oh, and if you love seafood, all I can say is, “The best chefs in the Caribbean!”
St. Lucia:
A honeymooners delight. Think jazz music, small island, secluded and intimate and that is St. Lucia. Beautiful beaches, lush tropical foliage, scenic mountains, spectacular sunsets and typically many great all-inclusive packages are offered. It all makes for a very seductive beach honeymoon vacation.
Hey, I could add a couple more since the Caribbean is full of beautiful and interesting places. Some may offer a little better snorkeling or fishing, larger or smaller hotels, more seclusion or more nightlife, but all are wonderful in their own way. You really can’t go wrong with these when planning and dreaming of your next Caribbean beach vacation!

It’s the time of year again when many people start thinking about where to take their summer vacation. Soon kids will be out of school for the summer and you know it would feel great to go down to the gulf and enjoy the beach. Down here in Texas it’s sunny every day right now and the water feels amazing at about 75F degrees. All you really need to do is decide which of the three major beach towns you’d like to visit: Galveston, Corpus Christi, or South Padre.
Galveston
Galveston, Texas is a really fun place to visit. This is a little island at the very bottom of Texas and it has a really fun atmosphere. There’s an annual bike rally that draws more bikers than any other bike rally in the state. There’s almost always something going on at The Strand, a road that runs through the center of downtown Galveston, and tons of shops for you to browse through. The attitude of all the shop owners and residents is really pleasant and laid back. On top of all this is the quick access to the beach and several beaches to choose from. If you want to learn how to surf, Galveston is a great place to get started.
Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi, Texas is another prime beach town on the Gulf of Mexico that you should consider visiting. This is a much larger city than Galveston with a variety of people and businesses. There are plenty of hotels to stay in during your visit. If you want to stay downtown you might consider staying in one of the Omni Hotels. If you’re going to Corpus Christi to surf or learn to surf, you might want to stay in a hotel on North Padre Island. There are numerous events to check into during your stay in Corpus Christi; you’re guaranteed to not be bored during your vacation.
South Padre Island
South Padre Island, Texas is another island further south than Galveston and very close to the border of Mexico. This island also has a pleasant atmosphere and numerous shops for you to visit and hotels to stay in. Anyone looking to surf in Texas that is already experienced in the sport will want to strongly consider taking their coastal surf trip in South Padre. The beaches in South Padre enjoy 8-12 foot waves year round, and up to 15 foot waves in tropical storm conditions.

It can become extremely overcrowded in some parts of the world and that can spoil things if you are looking to take a romantic vacation. Even families with young children struggle to cope on overcrowded beaches. So if you are traveling with your children then you still may want to stay away from overcrowded destinations.
If you do want to try out something a little more secluded, then an inland beach could be what you are looking for. There are some people who are not overly keen on inland beaches, but really they are just like ordinary beaches in the fact that they still have some type of water nearby. You can research more secluded beaches online and you can also ask your travel agent what the best ones are before you set off. Generally most people prefer to go to the beaches situated in Florida, California, Long Island and North Carolina. So, you may want to head to somewhere different if you do not want to go anywhere too overcrowded.
Overall most people prefer to take a beach vacation. No matter what your situation there will always be a beach to suit you. Going to the beach is always fun in the sun especially if you have a beach umbrella to keep you cool on those long hot days. One issue sometimes overlooked is keeping your umbrella stable and that can be accomplished a couple of ways. The beach umbrella stand is a great solution for this very common problem.
Many of us buy our own portable beach umbrella to save costs and so that we can set it up wherever we wish. That is the problem sometimes with using a resorts beach chair and umbrella. You are limited to wherever they set it up for you. So to remedy that situation I recommend investing in an umbrella with a stand or anchor to keep it from blowing away.
The beach umbrella stand is designed to hold the umbrella with a sleeve like base that has feet for digging into the sand to hold it sturdy. It is typically made of plastic but sometimes metal. This is great for non windy days however should it be a breezy day a sand anchor would probably be a better option. The beach umbrella anchor is designed for a heavier hold. It is shaped like a stake and has a hollow center so the umbrella can set down in it. They are usually driven into the ground with an auger which drills a hole in the sand for easy mounting. North Myrtle Beach is nine miles along the northern coastline of South Carolina. It is north of Myrtle Beach and just south of Barefoot Landing. It is quieter than its sister city, Myrtle Beach. North Myrtle Beach is considered to be one of the top vacation places for families.
