Does anyone know of any inexpensive, nice beach houses for rent in Galveston Tx. Im trying to just book one for me and my wife for a weekend getaway (from our 7month old daughter). I want to get one that is nice and clean and close to the beach, but not for 500 a night, ya know. If anyone knows of anything pls pls let me know.

I want a beach house, I love the ocean. My biggest worry is that since the celebrities have them is that they are very expensive. What do the cheapest ones go for & where are they located?

I am thinking about buying land on the gulf coast in texas near the beach. I don’t know if it would be more cost effective to buy land with a house already on it and make changes later or to buy a lot and build what we want. I don’t want anything fancy. Just a small, wooden beach house for weekends. Any idea what it would cost to do something like this?
