Ok, we bought property and now we are getting into making a swim beach. Its in MN and they have alot of rules and regulations concerning forests and lakes. We have never done anything like this before so we are pretty much clueless on this perticular subject. So what do we have to do? any cites that would help us. We know we are going to have to talk to the DNR before we start, but any pointers on how to start and things to think about?

I have a huge tree in my front yard which I’m confused as to what kind of tree it is. Some say it’s an elm, others say it’s a beech or beach tree, can you differentiate them for me?

My beach house (on a rocky shore) has a greenhouse, and I was wondering what I can grow in that kind of climate (both flowers and food). Can you help me? If you have any helpful links that would be great, too. Thanks!
