How can I feel more comfortable on the beach?

I **** getting sandy and sticky with sun block, and the water is always too cold! After an hour, I just want to leave. My boyfriend is taking me on vacation next week and the beach is all we’re going to do! I really want to like the beach just as much as he does, but my finicky-ness always gets in the way. I used to LOVE the beach when i was little, too!
