Where are the best beach campsites in Southern California?

I am planning a trip with nine of my friends and we are camping for a whole week in spring break on a beach. I just want to know where the best campsite is and a beach with great waves is really important because most of us plan to do a little bit of surfing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
this could be anywhere from like Santa Monica to Santa Barbara
