Can anyone suggest a good beach in between San Juan and the Rio Camuy Caves?
I am travelling to San Juan this week. On Saturday morning, we are planning to travel to the Rio Camuy Caves. We’d like to the stop at a beach for the afternoon on the way back to San Juan. Can anyone suggest a beach that’s convenient? Do you recommend stopping at a beach (ie, is it worth it) or shoud we just head back to San Juan and hang out at our hotel’s beach and pool? Thanks.

Marketing Strategies
The beaches on the north coast(including San Juan) really are not the best in PR. But I would suggest stopping at the beach in Vega Baja, or Los Tubos Beach in Manati. These are local beaches. You won’t find tourists but will find locals hanging out. If you really want gorgeous beaches you should take a day trip to Vieques or Culebra. Enjoy

As Bebe said the beaches of Puerto Nuevo in Vega Baja and Los Tubos in Manatí are good, but in Manatí there’s also Mar Chuquita ,which is a beautiful beach. The beaches in Arecibo and in the same Coamo are very good too, actually if you pick up the beach road in Vega Baja you can reach the beaches of Manatí in the same road.
